Senior Backend Engineer at BairesDev

Joining us as a Senior Backend Engineer means stepping into a role where your technical expertise will drive key aspects of our application architecture, performance, and scalability. You’ll be a mentor, a decision-maker, and an integral part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment that thrives on excellence.

What You’ll Do:

- Spearhead the development of backend services and applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and meet business objectives.

- Guide junior and mid-level engineers, providing mentorship and promoting best coding practices.

- Lead architecture and design discussions to shape backend solutions and optimize performance.

- Perform detailed code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality.

- Stay ahead of the curve by implementing and evaluating cutting-edge technologies, driving their integration where suitable.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of backend solutions.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide technical recommendations that align with project goals.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience working with backend technologies, including Java and Spring Boot (version 8+).

- Proficient in key coding and design principles such as SOLID, DRY, and KISS.

- Strong experience working with data structures and relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.

- Hands-on experience with design patterns such as Open/Closed Principle, Singleton, Factory, and Observer.

- Proven track record of building and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services.

- Location: Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Microservices Architecture.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

- Knowledge of Cloud platforms and Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
