Activities

• Run verification and interoperability test between different OLTs and ONTs from different vendors;
• Debug expertise to isolate and pinpoint the root cause of test failures (e.g. a misconfiguration of the test environment or a real bug);
• Collect data and logs;
• Log analysis capability to identify, extract and collect error messages and relevant data;
• Generate a report, documenting the results.

Essential Skills

• Experience working as Test Engineer;
• Experience GPON principles (including ITU-T G.984.X) and different architectures/topologies of GPON networks;
• Comfortable with Linux Environment for development.

Highly Desirable Skills

• Data network knowledge (VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP DORA, PPPoE, routing, Wireshark, traffic generators);
• VOIP (SIP);
• IGMP multicast protocols (v2 / v3);
• Experience with NETCONF (TR-069 MIBS, STUN, O&M of GPON devices, RPC calls, OMCI, etc) and YANG modeling;
• Experience in electronic systems, servers and network laboratories.
